In our plastic injection molding production area, we manufacture and assemble technical plastic parts and assemble small components.

Your main tasks:

  • Carry out material movements between production, warehouse and other functional areas
  • Packaging of products
  • Assistance with reworking and assembly

Your qualification profile:

  • A high level of quality awareness
  • Willingness to work 3 shifts
  • IT skills (MS-Office; SAP; etc.)
  • Forklift license (an advantage)
  • Class B driver’s license (an advantage)
  • Knowledge of a plastics processing company (an advantage)
  • Independent working style, ability to work in a team, resilience, flexibility and initiative
  • Very good communication skills

Your main tasks:

  • Set-up, start-up and optimization of injection moulding jobs via the Arburg host computer system ALS
  • Interface to the tool service with regard to repairs
  • Ensuring compliance with quality and quantity criteria
  • Sampling of new tools if required
  • Prospective organizational and personnel responsibility for a small team

Training focus:

  • Learning skills and production processes for processing standard and high-performance plastics
  • Commissioning, setting up, servicing and maintaining injection molding tools
  • Control, operation, programming and maintenance of injection molding machines
  • Optimizing production parameters and ensuring quality features
  • Getting to know the processing and machining of polymer materials
  • Operation and programming of robot and handling systems

Tool mechanic (m/f/d) specializing in mold technology (apprenticeship)

Duration of training: 3.5 years (annual training)

Vocational school: 1st year of training BSZ e.o. Plauen, from 2nd year of training BSZ for technology August Horch Zwickau

Training focus:

  • Learning skills and production processes for steel processing (sawing, filing, drilling, milling, turning, grinding, hardening, die-sinking and wire-cutting)
  • Manufacture of complex injection molds for the plastics processing industry
  • Processing of components according to 2D drawings and 3D data on high-tech, computer-controlled machines
  • Programming and operating CNC processing machines using a CAM system
  • Assembly, maintenance, optimization and repair of injection moulding tools and assemblies
  • Close teamwork with design and production
